I have the honour to apply for the post of Assistant Medical Officer of Health, Hong Kong, which I understand will shortly be vacant, owing to the retirement of Dr. Atkinson the Principal Civil Medical Officer.

I held the post of Assistant Medical Officer of Health, Hong Hong, during the years 1903-4 and resigned in order to take up the post of Inspector under the Public Health Department, Cairo.

Owing to this fact I believe myself to be exceedingly well qualified to take up the post again. I am well-known to most of the Government servants in the colony.

I resigned my post under the Egyptian Government and since that time have studied English law and become a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Judicature in England.

This branch of knowledge would, I believe, be of great use in the Public Health Department, Hong Kong.

For the past year I have been assistant to Dr. Fremantle,
